The Old Cider Mill

The Old Cider Mill sleeps 2, it can be either on a B&B basis, with dinner if you wish or self catering.

The grade 2 listed cider mill was probably used as a cider mill for the hunting lodge Hafod y Garreg (the oldest house in Wales), which is across the courtyard.

The Old Cider Mill is reached by a long rustic drive, which ensures no passing traffic or road noise just silence interrupted occasionally by birdsong.

The kitchen diner is entered through a stable door from a private terrace with a barbecue, and there is garden furniture on a lawn by a pond. The roomy kitchen has a flagstoned floor and beamed ceiling. The Shaker style kitchen has a large antique dining table, a Smeg fridge with a freezer compartment and wine rack. The Rayburn provides the central heating and the oven gives succulently cooked food. There is a microwave and ceramic hob, and spring water from the tap. There is also a downstairs toilet (you flush the loo with spring water) A step up in to the spacious living room with a mixture of antique and modern furniture, and TV.The oak staircase leads to a galleried landing and en suite bedroom. The bedroom has a double bed with bed linen provided. The bathroom has a roll top bath, with a hand held hair washing attachment and towels provided.

The view from every window is stunning, some to the Wye Valley, others to forests and hills.
